Walgreens - failure to honor $25 RX transfer coupon - Walgreens Pharmacy 17222 S. Golden Rd., Golden, CO 80401

I recently called the Walgreen on S. Golden Rd., in Golden, Colorado, to make sure that I would be eligible to receive a $25 gift card if I transferred a valid prescription from Safeway. After being told that I would receive it, I had them transfer & fill the RX. When I picked it up, they refused to give me the coupon. I have private insurance from Aetna/Medco, NOT through the gov't. I was told that there were "restrictions". When I read the coupon, I saw NO restrictions that pertained to me. I feel that this is a blatant case of false advertising and I intend to follow up with the DOJ and consumer advocacy groups. Walgreens has already been fined almost $ 8M for illegal inducements and got caught. Maybe they need to be fined again for false advertising! The store mgr, Joel Nelson, did NOTHING.

Hello! This just happened to me. I transferred a script unusually get from Jewel that had refills. When I went to pick it up the next day they said I was showing I once had Medicaid which is true but not for years! I see the coupon clearly states the patient cannot have been a recipient of a government funded program which I have clearly held Aetna ins for the last 2 years .
It is obvious they are trying to give any reason possible to deny these cards.
The prescription I was picking up was not even covered by my Aetna ins. So I was paying cash!!
Just ridiculous! I plan on going back later and discussing this with the manager on duty. I was in the drive-thru and on my way somewhere which was somewhat ruined because I sat in the drive thru for over 30 min waiting for them to give me my script. I had to finally just tell her it was not worth all this hassle. I don't know if this is intentional or not, but how can they just say I had something I didn't.
Odd.
