  • Poor, inflexible, customer service

    I ran out of an arrhythmia drug in a week end. I had the prescription on record at Walgreen for years. Walgreen submitted the prescription request to the doctor, with no results. After 1 day I contacted the doctor myself to get some progress. Walgreen refused to advance me an emergency 2 day supply of the drug Metoprolol, while normally a pharmacy would do that for an old customer. Metoprolol is a regular drug, with no special restrictions. Skipping it for 2 days is dangerous for my heart. But Walgreen's does not care, their pharmacy is an inefficient, bureaucratic machine.     Walgreens at 800 Quintard Ave, Anniston, AL used to be the VERY BEST in the whole US but it has recently gotten HORRIBLE. The website rarely works correctly to refill prescriptions, there is constant employee turnover and their attitudes are terrible.     You don't believe what I got from Walgreens, is a photo or something out of dirt?. Even the photo camera, the photographer had, wasn't in these days market preference, just the 90's.     Stopped in Walgreens store 12898 today. I had never used their pharmacy before. I gave the pharmacy tech., a prescription for oxycodone, prescribed the day before by my pain dr who is an owner of RA Pain Services, in cherry hill, nj.     I've always used Walgreens photo center for any photo prints that I have, which is quiet often. Never once have I had anyone as rude as Ms. Edna today, July 28th.     I ordered pictures from the Walgreens in Sandy, Oregon on 6/23 and went in on 6/24 to pick up the pictures. I received an email saying they were ready that morning and went in that night and they weren't ready?     I have shopped & got all my families prescriptions for 10 plus years. Recently I moved and to my horror have not only been discriminated against for not having medical insurance ( pharmacist would not fill my prescription because I don't have insurance, I lost it when I was laid off) but now I went to another Walgreen's same area as the last one now if you have a discount card they will not honor it.     Two weeks ago I ordered 4 Photo Albums to be printed at the Walgreens store located at 3945 Dempster St, Skokie, IL 60076. When I read about the Photo Albums I thought about the prints I usually order at Walgreens (very good quality) set up in the form of an album.     I purchased an American Express gift card for $180.00 less than 20 minutes after leaving the store I lost the card. When I contacted Amex they claimed they could not find any card that matched my reciept. I went into the store & called American Express. They asked the store supervisor for their merchant ID which they could/ did not provide.     I feel so terrible on Saturday I went inside a Walgreens in Raleigh, NC. I was in such a hurry and failed to realize that in this world there are great companies who hire people with disabilities.     On 2/12/2015, last night, at 6:54pm I checked out at the front counter. The cashier didn't speak to me, instead, she complimented my hair and held a conversation with me.     I had a refill for a medication, giving me 3 month's supply...90 capsules. I had the receipt for it on my email inbox. The bottle had only 30 in it, with 2 refills.     Pharmacy won't allow a person to fill a prescription even one day ahead of when its due. This never caused a problem for me until I had a family emergency and couldn't make it to the pharmacy until a day later, when I had already gone most of the day without my morning meds.   • NEVER get refills when they "FAX" it

    This has been an ONGOING problem with the store located on N. Elm Street in Greensboro, NC. Was even told last time, after calling for 3-4 days to see if reply received, that my MD had "DENIED" my request. I ABSOLUTELY knew this wasn't true, as it is a chronic medication for me.     I ordered 68 photos from a Walgreens yesterday and just picked them up. I was confused/upset to see that most were stuck together- as if they didn't let the photos dry before putting them in the pack or someone got impatient.Whatever the cause, they were stuck together on the left long side (4x6) of the photo, and left some sort of residue/strange texture on the front of the picture when pulled apart, which left creases on the back of the other.   • Walgreens Brand Self-Tanning Spray Mist

    I have used several different self-tanning products (lotions and sprays) over the last few months and the Walgreens' Brand Self-Tanning Spray Mist is the absolute worst! Even though it is easy to use and covers well, it takes HOURS to dry. Even after sitting in front of a fan off and on for a couple of hours and moving around the house doing chores, I am still sticky three hours after applying the spray!     Photo prints are such poor quality over the past few months. They look like the printer settings are set on "draft" qualtiy. Just a mess & never have glossy photo paper anymore either. I went to the walgreen's in Zephyrhills FL . I was a paient for 3 years picking up the same RX's monthly. 2 days ago I went in as usual and there was there 3rd rx manager in 2 weeks, the first 2 were great , this last one was compleatly horriable rude and a racist profiler , I am a 42 yr old half usa mutt and half turkish with a turk middle last name, he told me 24 hrs and I can pick it up?? usualy acutaly always its ben an hr or 2 at the end of 36 hrs of me driving 25 mi one way to check on my scripts he told me he was not going to fill them gave me no reason why and continued to berate me. I dident mention that in the 36 hrs he made me bring him 3 different MRI's and called my doctor ( witch later I was told by my DR he never called) he blacklisted me from walgreen's pharm now remember this is the second time I have seen him in my life , I was a model paient with 3 years of knowing everyone there and being on a first name basis with them all , this one sad excuse of a man ruined this for me , he also said he would not fill my scripts because he did not agree with the treatment plan the DR had me on he made me give him personal medical records copyed and kept them and told me everything was A ok just needed to veirify the scripts, he asked how I pay for all my medical treatment ( y is that any of his bizz??) end result he laughed and smiled when he said im in charge and can do what I want as he told me he was not gona fill them after 36 hrs of me running personal medical records to him, these are meds u can not just quit either, If you want to be shamed and berated then please go to wallgreens on st rd 54 in Zephyrhills fl. not only that but 3 yrs of perfect medical records were erased and I was told that I would not be able to go to any walgreen's rx in the country. this joke of a man pretends to have a medical degree and loves to string people along, if you have no option and must use this rx ae you need a meds or you will die, just go ahead and die first this way he wont have the satisfaction of laughing at you as he says he will help only to watch u suffer, . sorry for all the mis spelled words and bad grammer im im in a rotten mood. thanks walgreen's

My daughter-in-laws mother is 63 yrs old. She has been a worthy and valuable employee at Walgreens for nearly 15 yrs. She does not complain and always gets to work on time.
This week she came down sick, her daughter took her to the Dr. She has a Dr. excuse, she is on medication, today is her birthday and it was her day off and yet THEY STILL MADE HER GO TO WORK! What kind of heartless jerks are running this place? This is no way to treat your valued employees! Shame on Wal-greens, this will not be the last review I write about this store.

I went to Walgreens (9/15/13) in Bound Brook, NJ to fill my prescription for Free Style test strips for blood sugar testing. The store had a sign placed in the pharmacy department which stated that a customer will expect to pay 0% if that person had Medicare Part B and a secondary insurance. This information was placed in very small letters at the bottom of the sign. To lead a more normal life after 53 years living with Type 1 diabetes, I must test my blood sugar 10 to 14 times per day! I therefore looked at this sign with hope that my total pharmaceutical costs will decrease. However, I was told I would have to pay a certain amount of money despite the sign!! I requested that the sign be taken down since they were charging a certain amount of money per prescriptions for these testing supplies in spite of what their sign stated. I thought of the "truth in advertising" bill, and would like people to know that it is not being followed at Walgreen's, and I wonder what else is not being done to keep the public safe and the employees at Walgreens honest? I did check out RiteAid where there was no sign. There was a sign posted at CVS.

WALGREENS...I NEED YOUR IMMEDIATE HELP! On November 11, 2011 I sustained a bad fall in one of your stores located in Palo Alto, CA and injured my right shoulder and neck. Unfortunately, due to my age, I have experienced a lot of pain and I have had received medical care as well as missed time on my job as a result of this injury.

Unfortunately, Sedgwick Corporation has assigned Mr. James Nelson as their adjustor for my case. Honestly, he has not performed well and his services are inadequate due to his inability to handle this claim fairly and reasonably. My expenses are well over $15K, not to mention the pain and suffering that I have endured. Mr. Nelson is uncooperative and unable to settle this claim to cover these costs and I am extremely frustrated. As a long time customer of Walgreens, along with my friends and family who are also long time customers, I am disappointed because Sedgwick’s service handling this claim has caused me grief and it is not being reviewed adequately and my Attorney has gone back several times to get this resolved fairly. Although, has recently received a lot of public bad press, it is a really good drugstore.

There were two witnesses as the Walgreens at the time of the accident and the Manager took a report and pictures of the flooring at the time of the accident so there should be no doubt that Walgreens is at fault. My Attorney stated that the Sedgwick’s Adjustor is not cooperative and unwilling to adjust this claim and suggested requesting the pictures/evidence and other documentation pertaining to this accident.

To resolve the problem, I would appreciate your review of Sedgwick and their Claim Adjustor services. If you do not care to respond to assist me with this problem, I was told to try to contact you or your corporate office through your Facebook and Twitter to find assistance with this problem. Trying to contact someone on social media can be difficult especially to companies that do not demonstrate care and concern for the well being of their customers. That is why I am soliciting your immediate assistance because I am very disappointed with this situation. Although Sedgwick is hired to represent, please note that they are not cooperative and are not demonstrating characteristics of a reputable company. I trust this is not the way that wishes to conduct business with valued customers

walgreens in niles on greenwood. is the worst place a human being can work.discrimination,favoritism and lack of work ethics..they control their staff by lowering hours on the schedule and my former co workers are afraid to speak up for FEAR of retaliation and having their hours cut and possible job loss..its so poorly managed i dont know how this store still is in buisness,i rate on a scale of 1 to 10 a big fat zero

I went to walgreens on 11-21-12 to buy some abreva which was $23.99 for a 2og.07 oz and look on line and seen this same product for like $13.00 and $15.00 dollards. walgreen you should be shame of yourself with your jack up price I promise myself I will stay out of your store. Very unhappy custom.

Walgreen store #4027 on Westheimer & Sage, Houston, Texas.

During checkout I remarked to the clerk that the store's Halloween decorations were quite scary. He asked if I was OK, said I was acting weird and drunk and he was hesitant to sell me alcohol. I hadn't been drinking (nor do I take drugs, prescription or otherwise) and I was my usual happy self. But the accusation and encounter were a true downer.

The clerk is a overweight black gentleman of perhaps 30 years of medium to short height with whom I have interacted many times. He is well-spoken, formal and careful in speech but always distant. He is an efficient, albeit not particularly friendly, clerk as long as everything is routine.

Unfortunately he manifests a smoldering underlying hostility. Laughter startles him; he reacts as if affronted. He is quick to be slighted. He seems to parse most any question (especially any joke) as a social affront.

Perhaps he is autistic. But I am afraid he is an intelligent yet angry, severely unhappy man who takes delight in walking a fine line between insulting customers and getting fired.

Atlanta Walgreen's Pharmacy made an error with my husband's prescription and he died. We picked up the prescription on Friday and began taking it. My husband became ill over the weekend we noticed that he had been given the wrong dosage. I immediately contacted Walgreen's and was spoken to rudely and hung up on by the pharmacist.

I contacted the Corporate office to file a complaint and the investigation results indicated that it was a human error. I have names,dates, and positions of personnel from that even. Since then I have been sparely working with George Bryant with your claims department, Sedgwick who last week offered me a settlement of $5,000 for the worth of my husband. Is this a joke? I have posted this on the internet and placed calls to the television media. Others should know just how you value your customers. I have never even received a letter of apology or regrets from you guys. Wow, you are on every corner here in the city. If only people knew what you are really all about.

I need to know how to file a formal complaint with this company... thought I could find it online, but this is the closest thing I found.

After sitting for more than 20 minutes, being the third person in line, at the pharmacy's drive through, and the first car never moving, I decided to go inside, despite being in pajamas. There was only one person waiting on their prescription in that area(granted others may have been around the store). I had dropped off my prescriptions around 4:30 pm... and promised the prescriptions would be ready waaaayyy before 7pm. I was inside the store around 7:30pm, but even though they had had 2 and a half hours, they had not yet done my prescriptions by the promised time, nor did I recieve a phone call saying to wait. The prescriptions were not given to me until 7:50pm. I had two hungry people and a preheating oven at the house.

After going home with my prescriptions, I found the instructions on one of my prescriptions wasn't even correct. If I took the prescription the way the label said, I would most likely end up kicking off a bipolar episode that could very possibly end in suicide. The only way I know these instructions were incorrect is that I have been taking the prescription for about 4 months, SINCE a suicide attempt. To make it worse, if this were any other medication, an incorrect label could end in illness or DEATH, with the PHARMACY AT FAULT!

I'll add to this to say that my mother went to pick up my sister's birth control last weekend. She called ahead of time to make sure the medication would be up there and was confirmed that it was. When she got up there they told her to wait. Despite her sitting there in the pharmacy section, them KNOWING she was there, they called the house to say they were out of the prescription until Tuesday. I had to call her, at the pharmacy, to tell her. After which she had to drive across town to ANOTHER walgreens to find the medication.

Walgreens is the absolute WORST place in the world to get an RX, rent medical equipment from or try and get a sale item advertised. Woe be it if you are an employee at Walgreens. - FORGET ABOUT IT. I have a loved on who works at the Corporate Office. I had believed in the Walgreens. Family First! Sounds good – sure not the facts! Walgreens bills the customers far after they should. Clearly the insurance company indicated the rental equipment has exceeded the purchase price. What does Walgeens do – continue to bill. This is after NUMEROUS conversation and they say they will correct – yet they terminate that employee for the restructuring nightmare that they themselves are clueless on and the consumer has to go through the same conversation over and over again. Now if that is not a headache alone – they are out-sourcing to INDIA! If a co-worker accuses you of anything which is completely unfounded they treat you worse you worse than a second class citizen. Walgreen's dictates who you can even go out to lunch with - this is with fellow workers - PEOPLE THEY HIRE and won't let you even have lunch with and you share the same lunch hour. The corporate communication is equal to getting a RX filled - a nightmare! They allow fellow employees to defame co-workers and treat you guilty and forget your rights. In Walgreen's clearly AMERICA does not exist -- there is only WALGREENS WORLD consisting of defamation, poor employee relations – terminating able people in America to outsource outside the United States. Plus I am sure we have all had the FINE experience of the pharmacy. All I can say is “There is Away” – ONLY Walgreen’s way. What a crock of we all know what! Think before you engage you life with Walgreens. Walgreens is the absolute WORST experience on every level, consumer, patient, or for professional loved ones! Here I come CVS!!!!

Falls, Tx because it was the only one open @ this time of night----only to find Tyler, talking on the phone to a friend while 5 customers inside & one on the other line & one @ the drive-thru waited----he made eye-contact but never stopped his conversation to help anyone----I will make certain that I tell everyone I know, (I am a registed Nurse) to never to get their prescriptions @ a Walgreens Pharmacy---how rude can you get!!!!! IRATE CUSTOMER

Walgreens located at intersection of Litchfield Rd and Indian School Rd in Lichfield Park, AZ has horrible customer service. The staff doesn't acknowledge nor thank you for your business. In today's economic struggles consumers have a choice of where they spend their hard earned paychecks and I am choosing to switch an other pharmacy that cares about making me a priority.
